Our founder from Seattle was inspired by Hong Kong’s entrepreneurial spirit. He set out to make Pacific Coffee a community hub known for its informality and friendly attitude. Since the opening of its first coffeehouse in 1992, Pacific Coffee has provided world-class coffee to satisfy Hong Kong's growing demand for specialty coffee beverages, and served as a urban oasis for customers wishing to have a moment of peace in their busy, hectic life.

In 2005, this home-grown brand was acquired by Chevalier Pacific (Holdings) Limited. Since that time Pacific Coffee has grown rapidly, not only locally but with expansion to the Chinese Mainland, Macau, Singapore and Malaysia. In June 2010, China Resources Enterprise, Limited (CRE) and Chevalier forged a partnership to further expand the brand in the Mainland, with CRE a major shareholder in developing Pacific Coffee under the umbrella of China Resources Vanguard's retail business unit. In June 2013, CRE completed the acquisition and continued to develop, drawing on the vast retail experience of its mother company.

The Pacific Coffee brand is recognised as serving the best coffee in Hong Kong, having won numerous consumer awards organised by major magazines and websites.

In keeping with our mission, Pacific Coffee has always strived to provide customers with great quality coffee and beverages, a really comfortable place to hang out and plenty of complementary food choices. To make every customer's visit to our coffeehouse a pleasant one, we are particular in every little detail from quality of our food and beverage offerings, welcoming decoration, soothing music selection to a wide choice of publication. We strive to make our customer experience an affordable luxury.

In addition to world-class coffee, great food and comfortable surroundings, Pacific Coffee also strives to bring our customers the ultimate communication services.

Whether for business or leisure, the availability of our in-store internet facilities provide our customers access to this technology, when and where they need it. Pacific Coffee strives to maintain the very best, most up-to-date technology available world-wide by continually upgrading the internet connectivity in our stores with long-time partner PCCW.

We currently provide a complimentary Netvigator Broadband Service through computer terminals in our Hong Kong stores. In addition to this, all locations are equipped with
PCCW Wi-Fi device for use by the service subscribers. As being our Perfect Cup Card members, a 20-minute free WI-FI pass can be provided upon request for a one-time usage.

Whether for impromptu business meeting, web surfing, or simply the enjoyment of the entertainment provided by Netstation facilities on each terminal, Pacific Coffee makes the state-of-the-art technology available to all our tech-savvy customers.

As a reflection of our customers, employees and owners, Pacific Coffee strives to be a contributing member of the communities we serve.

Our passion for assisting the local community has played an important role in defining who we are as a company. Our participation levels are varied and numerous but in most cases our fund raising efforts are dedicated to the disabled or less fortunate children in our community and supporting the environmental causes.

There are many different charity partners that we have worked together over the years. To name a few, Changing Young Lives Foundation, End Child Sexual Abuse Foundation, Sowers Action, The Nature Conservancy, the Green Peace, WWF Hong Kong and The World Vision.

Pacific Coffee also regularly supports educational, social, and arts organizations in Hong Kong, Singapore and the Chinese Mainland.

Pacific Coffee is also well known for its commitment for the sustainability of the environment. Many of our products come from sustainable materials, including organic and fair trade coffeebeans. All Pacific Coffee promotional pamphlets are made of environmental friendly paper. To support our ongoing efforts to preserve the earth's natural resources by minimizing waste generated through our operations, we encourage our customers to send us e-mail for comments; we urge our customers to bring their own mugs or tumblers for beverage purchase and in return, we deduct HK$3, SG$0.50 or RMB 2 off their bills as an appreciation gesture for their support of the environment conservation.

We use energy saving auto controller which is a Hong Kong patented power saving technology in our operations. Unlike the traditional autotransformer, this power saving technology provides the capability of stepping up/down the incoming voltages which helps keep the energy saving at an optimal level which in turn reduces electricity consumption while prolongs the life spans of the electronic fixtures.  We also partner with Foodlink Foundation to donate the unsold bakery items to the needy and encourage our customers to segregate garbage in selected stores. Partners we have worked together on environmental conservation include Clean Air Network, Friends of the Earth (HK), Greenpeace, World Wild Fund for Nature Hong Kong and The Nature Conservancy.

Pacific Coffee customers will find our staff, like our coffee, to be of the finest quality and character, carefully nurtured to guarantee a first-class experience for our customers. Pacific Coffee takes care to train and develop managers and staff to the highest levels. Success in implementing our bottom-to-top training programs has proven invaluable to achieving customer service excellence and ultimate customer satisfaction.
